A velocity-adaptive Couzin model and its performance

　　Typical collective behaviors are exhibited and convergence probability is analyzed in the Couzin model by simulation.To improve the constant speed restriction of the Couzin model,an adaptive speed strategy is presented.Simulation shows that in the new model convergence probability is greatly enhanced.
