Drug resistance is one of the critical reasons leading to tailure in chemotherapy.Enormous studies have been focused on increasing intracellular drug accumulation through inhibiting P-glycoprotein (Pgp).In this study, doxorubicin (DOX) was delivered specifically to mitochondria by conjugating to a lipophilic triphenylphosphonium (TPP), or to nucleus by a polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers functionalized with a polysaccharide hyaluronic acid (HA) containing major vault protein (MVP) targeted small-interfering RNA(MVP-siRNA).
