The objective of this research was to obtain wheat leaf rust resistance-associated gene and study its disease-resistant mechanism.Rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) was applied in cloning the gene with ESTs (Contig 551) as target sequence came from incompatible interaction cDNA library of TcLr19.Particle bombardment was used in subcellular localization of the obtained gene.
