  The negative refraction can be studied in the rod-shape nematic liquid crystal.It is revealed that the angular range for incident light yield negative refraction attains its maximum that only depends on the difference of tow indices of refraction |ne-no| when tan(2?0)=no/ne.The negative refraction here is like as that of a left-handed material.
