Ideal definition of SLI should involve exclusion of intellectual disahility together with scores at 10th% or lower on two or more of five composite score developed from seven language measures. (Tomblin et al 1996 ).Criteria for SLI(Elena Plante,J of S,L,and Hearing research 1998)-PIQ of at least 85 and at least one of the followings; a. a receptive language age score of atleast 6 months below MA or CA; b. combined LA score of at least 12months < MA or CA; c. andexpressive LA score that is at least 12 months < MA or CA. SLI subgroups-verbal dyspraxis,phonologic programming deficit syndrome; phonologic-syntactic deficit syndrome,leical-syntactic deficit syndrume,semantic-pragmatic deficit syndrome,verbal auditory agnosia.This paper aims to present the language characteristics of children with SLI from 2 case studies.
