Background Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at high risk for Contrast-Induced Acute Kidney Injury (CIAKI) and the role of statin pre-treatment in preventing renal damage remains uncertain.The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rosuvastatin in preventing CIAKI in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) who all received the furosemide according the clinician.
