Objective: To observe the role of electro-acupuncture in regulating the circadian rhythm of the melatonin and its receptor, discuss the mechanism of electro-acupuncture in regulating the circadian rhythm of insomnia in order to further provide a theoretical basis for treatment of insomnia by electro-acupuncture.Methods: 168 clean SD male rats, with weight reaching 180 ± 20g.They were randomly divided into control group(n=42), model group(n=42), acupuncture group(n=42), non-acupoint group(n=42), acupuncture group and non-acupoint group with Column electrode catheter implantation.
