Type 2 diabetes is a complex disease,which is related to a variety of genetic abnormalities.The pathogeny of type 2 diabetes is related to insulin resistance and insulin secretion deficiency.A lot of susceptibility genes in type 2 diabetes has been found with the completion of the sequencing of the human genome.So far,there is no genetic variation in one gene which could explain the vast majority of type 2 diabetes,whats more,there are few researches focusing on the biological pathway.This research using a set of susceptibility genes in type 2 diabetes and found some diabetes-related biological pathways based on statistical analysis,15 susceptibility genes related to Chinese diabetes have been screened out.A complicated biological pathway has been build based on these susceptibility genes to explore the biological relationship in those susceptibility genes.The result show that KCNQ1,PPARG,IRS1,ADIPOQ and so on are located more than one biological pathway node positions,suggesting that these genes plays a vital role in developing Chinese people type 2 diabetes.The result is a good reference for research on complex diseases using biological pathways.
