Glass fiber (GF) is the most common material used for fiber reinforced polymer composites (FRP).Surface feature of GF and interracial performances of its composites is one of the most significant roles in the manufacture and GFRP application. Here, the surfacial morphology and elements of coated GF are characterized.Wettability between GF and different polymer matrix is also analyzed. Then the interracial shear strength (IFSS) and aging properties of GFRP are discussed for surface modified GF.The new developing tendency for GF surface modification with the nano material coating is put forward.
