Thermoelectric materials offer an effective way to convert thermal energy into electrical energy.A good thermoelectric material should display simultaneously a large thermopower, a low electrical resistivity and a low thermal conductivity.However, these three transport properties are mutually interdependent via the carrier concentration, making the optimization of the thermoelectric properties a complex task.
