Aim: To investigate the effects of evodiamine (Evo), a component of Evodiarutaecarpa (Juss) Benth, on vascular smooth muscle ceils (VSMC) proliferation induced by angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) and explore the potential mechanisms.Methods: In the cultured VSMC, the effect of evodiamine on the proliferation of VSMC was observed by MTT assay and activity of nitric oxide synthetase (NOS), content of nitric oxide (NO) in the supematant liquid of cultute cells were measured.
