Freeze-drying is one of the most effective methods to preserve fungi for a long time.However, it is associated with a loss of fungi viability.The mechanism of cell death during freeze-drying preservation is incompletely understood, but may involve apoptosis.This study evaluated the harmful effect of freeze-drying on Mucor rouxii and Fusarium graminearum using cell apoptotic research methods.
