We consider the Cauchy problem for systems of semilinear wave equationsin two or three space dimensions,with the nonlinearity depending only on derivativesof the unknowns.When the nonlinearity is of the critical power,the small data globalexistence fails in general,but it holds under some structural conditions on thenonlinearity.One of the famous conditions to ensure the small data global existence is the null condition,and it is known that global solutions are asymptotically free underthe null condition.In this talk,we will establish the small data global existence undera weaker condition than the null condition,and show that there is a wide variety of theasymptotic behavior for global solutions under our weaker condition.
