As it is well-known that liquid crystalline elastomers are difficult to process.On one hand,covalent crosslinking is preferred to ensure long term actuation performance.On the other hand,the covalent crosslinking makes it troublesome to align mesogens,which is necessary for actuation.In this talk,I will show how this dilemma can be solved by the introduction of dynamic covalent bonds,focusing on the molecular design,the choice of dynamic covalent bonds and the processing of suck kind of smart materials.
