Trichoderrna diversity of soil and water samples collected from the different geographical regions of wetland, tidal-fiat, waters surrounding coastal and lakes of East China in relation with varied physical, and chemical characteristics was assessed through culture dependent method.Trichoderma counts were enumerated from 221 sediment and 76 water samples collected from different study sites includes, Yellow sea (Yantai, Shandong; Lianyungang, Jiangsu), East sea (Shanghai, Huangpu River, Hangzhou, Zhejiang;Fuzhou, Fujian), South sea (Shantou, Zhuhai, Guangdong), North Sea (Beihai, Guangxi), East China (Chongming, Shanghai and Taihu, Jiangshu) during seasons of spring 2014.Totally 242 Trichoderma strains were isolated from the sediment and water samples.All the strains were morphologically studied and identified by Trichoderma barcode program (TrichOkey v.10), custom BLAST (TrichoBLAST) and NCBI, BLAST using molecular sequences of internal transcribed spacer 1 and 2 (ITS1 and ITS2), and translation elongation factor EF-1cα (tef1 gene).
