Introduction: Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a safe, non-invasive focal brain stimulation technique that has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a treatrrent for Major Depression (MDD).MDD is a highly prevalent disorder with substantial loss of quality of life, increased mortality rates and enormous social/economic costs.Nevertheless, 20-30% of the patients remain significantly ill when treated with the current modalities.Mortality due to suicide in depression is a major health concern.
