The biocontrol yeast Rhodotorula glutinis showed promising commercial use due to its ability to survive on fruit surfaces under field conditions,to adapt to postharvest storage conditions of low temperature,low-O2 and high-CO2 concentrations,and to improve its biocontrol activity when combination with some exogenous substances such as ammonium molybdate,sodium bicarbonate,salicylic acid and low dosage of preservatives.
