Objective To establish a method for drinking water security and health-based risk evaluation.Methods On-the-spot investigation and laboratory analysis were employed to understand Chengdu status of drinking-water contamination and water-borne infections among the habitants.An assessment model was applied to evaluate the health-based risk of the main contaminants in drinking water.
