Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the leading form arrhythmias encountered in clinical practice and considered the epidemic of the century by some authors.Recent progress in its diagnosis and management has led to development of novel therapy methods.Particularly, great success has been achieved in the nonpharmacological treatment method of curative AF ablation. The other nonpharmacological treatment method of"Ablate and Pace" has been in clinical practice for almost thirty years.Ablate and Pace is a nonpharmacological treatment modality when drugs do not work in maintaining sinus rhythm or controlling the high ventricular rate ofAFib.I will discuss the currrent status and significance of the "Ablate and Pace" strategy.
