Br-1-allyl-3-ethyl-imidazolium(VIM-Br) was used as comonomer to copolymerize with acrylonitrile(AN) for the preparation ofpoly acrylonitdle(PAN) primary fiber and precursor in the means of wet spinning.The influence ofthevolume and polarity of VIM-Br exerts on the crystallization and thermal behavior of PAN primary fiber and precursor were studied with the X-Ray diffraction(XRD), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), and 13C solid state nuclear magnetic resonance(13C-NMR).
