  A process of separating gold from the Au-Sb alloy by electrolysis was investigated in the NaOH solution containing xylitol.The effects of NaOH/xylitol/antimony concentration, current density, electrode distance, electrolysis time, electrolyte temperature and electrode equipment on the electrolysis process were studied.By the electrolysis at 40 ℃ for 10 h using the anode with a bag and in the conditions of 80 g/L NaOH, 152 g/L xylitol, 60 g/L antimony, 100 A/m2 current density and 4 cm electrode distance, the purity of electrolytic antimony is 99.98%, gold and silver are enriched to 13~14 times in the anode slime, current efficiency is 98.64%, and energy consumption is 418.44 kwh/t-Sb.Gold is separated effectively from antimony in the electrolysis system.
