Baeyer-Villiger (BV) oxidations of C-C bonds of linear or cyclic ketones with formation of esters and lactones, respectively, are important transformations in organic chemistry.Enzyme-mediated BV reactions usually exhibit excellent chemo-, regio-and enantioselectivity.Baeyer-Villiger monoxygenases (BVMOs) could oxidize a myriad of ketones by activating C-C bonds and even some C-N, C-S, C-B heteroatom oxidation.However, no oxidative C-H bond activation by BVMOs has been reported.
