Kaolin is used in a multiplicity of industries,such as ceramics,papermaking,rubber,building materials,painting industry,petroleum and chemical industry because of unique physical and chemical properties linking to favorable properties such as natural whiteness,fine particle size,non-abrasiveness,and chemical stability.Especially in the ceramic industry,Kaolin can be either used a ceramic blank or ceramic glaze.However,the whiteness of Kaolin in nature can not satisfy the requirement of industry application because this natural ore contains some of impurities,such as organic matters,iron,titanium,manganese,and so on.In order to improve the whiteness of Kaolin,many methods were investigated,such as the physical method [1] (involving hand sorting,water-test,magnetic separation method) and chemical method (acid leaching method [2],Na2S2O4 reduction method [3],acid dissolved hydrogen reduction method [4],chloridizing roast [5]).Microbiological iron removal method [6] and organic acid iron removal whitening method [7] are the research hotspot right now.
