Bitespiramycin is a novel antibiotic produced by genetically engineered strain.The results of clinical research indicate that it has a long duration of therapeutic effect and no development of resistant strains,and is as efficient as azithromycin.The pharmaceutical product of bitespiramycin consists mainly of a group of 4″-acylated spiramycins with isovalerylspiramycin Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,whose contents are restricted strictly by national doping agency.It is essential to remove the impurities efficiently.Bitespiramycin was separated firom its fermentation broth via solvent extraction,back-extraction and crystallization in traditional method.However,the obtained product failed to meet the content requirements because of the excessive non-acylated spiramycin.Therefore,a novel purification process utilizing NaH2PO4 buffer solution to solve non-acylated spiramycin preferentially has been introduced in this paper.
