Abnormal Speech pattern has been observed not only in patients with schizophrenia but also in healthy individuals with schizotypal personality disorder (SPD) features.Semantic processing deficits have been suggested as a potential reason.Semantic processing has been separated into two relatively independent stages, namely early automatic semantic activation and late contextualization. Moreover, it has been observed that SPD features fluctuate with time. Therefore it is interesting how semantic processing deficits, if exist, vary according to the SPD features.Within the framework of two-stage semantic processing theory, an implicit semantic priming task and an explicit semantic priming task were designed to target the early automatic semantic activation and late contextualization separately.
