Background: In human, vesicular endocytosis is an efficient way of dietary cholesterol absorption.Flotillins prote ins included Flotillin-1, Flotillin-2 are considered to be the components of lipid rafts and are commonly used as ma rker proteins for lipid microdomains.We investigated the association between the human flotillin-2 gene polymorp hism and coronary artery disease (CAD) in a Han and Uygur population of China.
