Objective: In all kinds of hard tissue-repair materials, titanium and titanium alloys have been widely applied due to excellent corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, low density and high specific strength. However, its elastic modulus made it mismatch with the nature bone, so the load cannot transmit to the bone tissue well, resulting in stress shielding between the interface and finally influence the success rate of the osteointegration in implants. So the introduction of porous structure increases the stress distribution between the interface, greatly reduces the intensity and the elastic modulus, and effectively reduce or eliminate the stress shielding. The present study was to investigate different pore size and porosity of titanium materials after implantation in vivo.
