Objectives: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the reliability and outcome of using the transverse cervical vessels (T????CVs) as a recipient vessel for microvascular in patients who had previously been operated upon,some of whom had undergone irradiation.Meterials and Methods: Between January 2012 and February 2014, secondary head and neck reconstruction was performed used the transverse cervical artery (TCA) as a recipient vessel in 7 patients who had undergone previous neck dissection (n=7) and radiation therapy (n=4).Free flaps were used for reconstruction.The TCVs were separately exposed in a standard fashion.For each patient we record the clinical data included recipient vessels, length of pedicle,complications of donor and recipient sites, etc.
