Cell wall deficient forms (CWD-forms) of Mtb confers a marked resistance of mycobacteria to immune system of host and antibiotics.However, there is limit data about the effect of intracellular CWD-Mtb infection on macrophages.In the study, we detected immune and microRNAs (miRNAs) response of macrophages to intracellular (CWD-forms) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by ELISA, microarray assay and RT-qPCR.Cell viability and IFN-γ expression were obviously reduced, while levels of IL-lα, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 were significantly increased at 24 hour time point after infection of RAW264.7 cells with CWD-Mtb.
