In different conditions, the critical load values of the simply-supported castellated beam are computed using the finite element program ANSYS, and influences of all sorts of different parameters on the overall stability of the simply-supported castellated beam are analyzed. The comparison between the FEM results and the reference results are delivered, which validates the accuracy of the results of the FEM. Some useful conclusions are drawn for reference in the structural design.
