Honeycomb sandwich structures are extensively used in satellites in which micro vibration of the structure can lead to image distortion or structural fatigue.In current literature, finite element method (FEM) in conjunction with equivalent material properties is often used to analysis the dynamic response of the honeycomb sandwich structures.Therefore, the validity of the equivalent properties will largely affect the accuracy of the FEM results.
