Objective: To investigate the effect of astragali injection on expression of Cytochrome C(Cyt C) and activities of mitochondrial Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase in peri-intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) foci in rats.Methods: 32 male rats were randomly divided into the astragali remedial group and the contrast groups including ICH contrast group and normal contrast group without ICH.Then the astragali remedial group were divided into 2 groups which were 6h and 24 h remedial groups.All rats involved in the experiment were killed on the 2d after ICH.To establish the ICH rat model on the caudate nucleus injected collagenase *3f-heparin solution.The method of Elisa and ATPase kit were respectively used to detect the expressions of Cyt C and activity of ATPase.Results: Compared with the normal contrast group, the expression of Cyt C on the control group with ICH increased obviously (P<0.01), the activity of ATPase decreased obviously(P<0.01).Compared with the ICH contrast group, the expression of Cyt C on the astragali remedial group decreased (P<0.05), the activity of ATPase increased (P<0.05), the contrast of the astragali remedial groups (2d-6h and 2d-24h), there were no change on the expression of Cyt C (P>0.05), and the activity of ATPase, group 2d-6h was higher and better than group 2d-24h (P<0.05).Conclusion: Astragali injection can relieve the release of neuron Cyt C and increase the activities of ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase in peri-hemorrhage foci, thereby to lighten the apoptosis of ICH, and effect good for injecting astragali in advance.
