A method for determination of nanomolar dissolved manganese (Mnd) in seawater was established by coupling reverse flow injection analysis with a 1-m liquid waveguide capillary cell and spectrophotometric detection.The design of dual-wavelength detection and dual-carrier mode in the proposed method was capable of overcoming the light source shifting and the Schlieren effect caused by the difference of refractive index between solutions passing through the flow cell.
