Biomarkers have been widely used to reconstruct phytoplankton productivity and community structure changes.In this study,content and mass accumulation rate of biomarkers and their ratios in a Pb-210 dated core B25 and an undated core BF01 from the north yellow sea (YS) are applied for the reconstruction of the changes of phytoplankton productivity,community structure and terrestrial inputs during the last 130 years.
