The Central part of the North China Craton known as the Trans North China Orogen (TNCO) divides the North China Craton (NCC) into two tectonic domains:the Eastern and Western Blocks.The TNCO preserves the record of crustal evolution,cratonization,and magmatism- metamorphism-deformation,and offers a classic region to evaluate subduction-collision tectonics during late Neoarchean through Paleoproterozoic.The region also witnessed major Mesozoic magmatism,lithospheric thinning and metallogeny.
