OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the treatment effect of Danhong Injection (DHI) in the elderly patients with unstable angina pectoris as well as its potential mechanisms.METHODS: A total of 155 patients with unstable angina pectoris were randomly classified into study group (80 cases) and control group (75 cases).Patients in the two groups were all administered with routine medications.Additionally, DHI 40ml was administered intravenously to the patients (1/day for 14 days) in the study group while Prostaglandin E1 10μag was administered intravenously to the patients (1/day for 14days) in the control group.Platelet aggregation rate,plasma biochemical and endothelial indicators were examined for all patients before and after the treatment.
