Effectively recovery UO22+ [1] from wastewater is an essential problem of nuclear fuel industry and related industries [2-6].In this study,a novel adsorbent was prepared by loaded titanium (Ti4+) onto collagen fiber (TICF),and its physical and chemical properties as well as adsorption behaviors to uranium in nuclear fuel industrial wastewater was investigated.It was found that TICF can effectively recovery UO22+ from nuclear fuel industrial wastewater with excellent adsorption capacity.The adsorption capacity was 0.62 m(t)nol U-g-1 at 303 K and pH 5.0 when the initial concentration of UO22+ was 1.50 mmol.Lm.The adsorption isotherms can be described by the Langmnuir equation and the adsorption capacity was increased with the increase of temperature.The effect of co-existed F on the adsorption capacity of UO22+ is significant,but this effect can be eliminated by adding aluminum ion as complexing agent,while the other co-existed ions,including HCO3-,Cl-,NO3",Ca2+,Mg2+,Fe3+ and Cu2+ in the solutions,almost have no effect on the adsorption capacity of UO22+.The saturated TICF after UO22+ adsorbed can be completely regenerated by using 0.2 mol.L"1 nitrate (HNO3) as desorption agent,and can be repeated used at least 10 times.Consequently,TICF can be used as a new and an effective adsorbent for the recovery of UO22+ from nuclear fuel industrial wastewater.
