Gentiana rhodantha Franch.ex Hemsl, a herbal plant from the gentianaceae, was widely used in medicine of ethnic minorities among southwest China to treat hepatitis and pneumonia.This study aims to investigate the hepatoprotective and antioxidant effects of Gentiana rhodantha ethanolic extract (GRE) in vitro and in vivo.
