Because people pay more attention to health problems,so they would like to have a wearable smart sensor which can monitor their health condition.A smart health bracelet (also known as smart-band) is a smart sensor application for smartphone users to record the information about their health-related activities.However,the adoption rates of smart-bands are low,so this study tries to extend the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model with health concern to examine the factors that influence user acceptance of smart-bands in China.The results of partial least squares (PLS) analysis in 232 valid data indicate that health concern is an important factor that affects user’s behavioural intention toward adopting smart-bands in China.The social influence shows the greatest influence on the behavioural intention,followed by health concern,and performance expectancy.However,effort expectancy does not show a significant effect on the behavioural intention.This study recommends that smart-band developers should enhance health sensor functions and smart-band marketers should promote these functions that help users to manage their fitness activities.
