Aim: Hyperphosphorylation of tau mediated by mTOR/p70S6K pathway has been thought to contribute to cognitive dysfunction of Alzheimers disease.Whether mTOR/p70S6K signaling is also involved in cognitive dysfunction of diabetes mellitus still remains unknown.Methods: The alteration of mTOR/p70S6K signaling and phosphorylated tau in the hippocampus of STZ-induced diabtetic rats was detected by Western blot at 10, 15, and 20 weeks after STZ injection.
