In the present studies,a rat model of type Ⅱ diabetes was accomplished by feeding a high-fat diet and then injecting with streptozotocin,the effects of Black-Bond Silky Fowl extract on type II diabetes rats were investigated.The results showed that the daily water intake,the daily food consumption,the fasting blood glucose level,the serum levels of TC,TC,LDL and MDA in the extract groups were significantly lower than those of the model groups.The body weight,the insulin sensitivity index,the serum levels of HDL and TOAC,the liver glycogen and muscle glycogen in the extract groups were higher than that in the model groups.The Black-Bond Silky Fowl extract exhibits a good effect on diabetic rats.
