Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases of fungi are widely distributed hemo-proteins involved in various steps of the biosynthesis of endogenous compounds and in the oxidative detoxification and elimination of many hydrophobic xenobiotics including polluants, drugs, alkaloids, terpenes, pesticides, carcinogens and other xenobiotic chemicals.According to the publication of Trichoderma atroviride whole genome sequencing from joint Genome Institute (http://genome.jgi-psf.org/Triat2/Triat2.home.html), there are 184 full-length P450 genes in this T.atroviride fungus, reflecting its tremendous biodegradation capacity and functional diversity.As one of the most widely-used organophosphate pesticides in agriculture, dichlorvos, is frequently applied, sometimes to the point of overdosing, which is surplus in the soil and water.
