Trichoderma sp has been extensively studied as a plant growth promoter and in disease control; however,the mechanism of Trichoderma harzianum in hydroponics was not studied so far.Different studies were carried out to study the hypothesized mechanisms used by T.harzianum against F.oxysporum f.sp.gladioli in hydroponics.Various analyses, including host defence enzymes, cell wall degrading enzymes, GA3 and IAA content in the corms were studied, and Scan Electron Microscopy (SEM) were also undertaken.The major secondary metabolites produced by Trichoderma harzianum against F.oxysporum f.sp.gladioli were isolated and characterised.RT-qPCR was used to evaluate gene expression.
