Combination of a microfiltration and an absorbent is usual way for water purification. In order to combine a microfitration and an absorbent, intercrystalline pathways of a zeolite membrane were controlled by adding poly ethylene glycol (PEG) as a polymeric template.MFI zeolite was successfully crystallized on the substrate without the effect of PEG addition.Pore sizes of intercrystalline pathways of a MFI zeolite membrane were measured by coupling a low temperature (350 ℃) calcination and a nano-permporometer.The size ofintercrystalline pathways ofa MFI zeolite membrane without PEG addition was about 6 nm, while the pore size increased more than 16 nm by adding PEG (M.W.1000, PEG/SiO2=0.1).
