Boron Nitride(BN)composites were prepared by hot-press sintering with hexagonal-BN(h-BN)and MAS as raw powders,sintered at 1800℃ with a pressure of 30 MPa.In this case,MAS as the sintering aid promoted the formation of the liquid phase which improved mass transfer mechanisms during sintering.The effects of the additives on densification,flexural strength,fracture behaviour and microstructural evolution of the composites were investigated.
