The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect of genistein sodium sulfonate (GSS) on excitatory toxicity injury and to explore the possible mechanism underlying it.An excitatory toxicity injury cell model was made by treating with 1 00 μM glutamate for 1 h in primary cultured cortical neurons.The injury neurons were treated with 0.3 mM GSS.
