Background: It has been found that magnetite deposited with senile plaques whose principal components were fibrillar aggregates of amyloid-β (Aβ) peptides in the brain of Alzheimers disease patients.In present study we investigated the interaction of magnetic nanoparticles modified with SiO2 (MNP-SiO2) and Aβ1-40 during the fibrillar process of amyloid peptide and their neurotoxicity.
