MOF Cu3(BTC)2 nanocrystals with a high surface area was synthesized and mixed with ployimide to form mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) for gas separations by the dry/wet-spinning method.SEM images of the membrane cross-sections revealed significant plastic deformation of the polymer matrix owing to the strong affinity between the Cu3(BTC)2 and polyimide.The PI-Cu3(BTC)2 MMMs posses the smooth and impact dense layer at the outside and inner surface,finger-like voids layer and sponge-like supporting layer,in which the Cu3(BTC)2particles were highly dispersed and faultlessly made affinity with PI matrix.
