In higher plants,tapetum plays vital roles in microspore development by secreting signals,enzymes and pollen wall materials.However,we have little knowledge about the secretory pathway of tapetal cell.Here,we characterize the essential role of the Arabidopsis COPII coat protein Secrectory31B(SEC31B) in tapetal cells.
