BACKGROUND: Variability in blood pressure (BP) is independently associated with target organ damage.Self-monitoring of blood pressure by patients at home can provide information on day-to-day variability of BP under relatively well-controlled conditions.However, the association of variability in self-measured BP at home and autonomic nerve function is unknown.
